The Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Learning Framework (MERLF) for the Pacific Sports Partnership (PSP) Phase 2 aims to assist the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the PSP Program Management Team (PMT) in delivering high-quality monitoring and evaluation, improving accountability, and enhancing the efficiency of the aid programme. The Reporting Framework provides tools for uniform data collection by sports partners. This report collates and reviews PSP-funded research, synthesizes key findings, and provides recommendations for improving future research quality and impact. The review of PSP-funded evaluation and research highlighted key findings across three themes: Sport for Development, Disability, and Gender Equity. Challenges such as cultural barriers, gender inequality, and limited resources were identified, along with positive outcomes from disability inclusion and gender empowerment programmes.
