The report highlights the social impact of the FIBA Foundation's initiatives, leveraging basketball as a tool for development in education, health, equality, and community resilience. Three key programs are featured: Mini Basketball, targeting children aged 5-12 to promote healthy lifestyles; Youth Leadership, empowering young people to become community leaders; and Community Impact, addressing local issues like non-communicable diseases and social inclusion. In 2023, these initiatives impacted over 250,000 youth in 100 countries. Additionally, 95% of program participants reported understanding how basketball contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Success stories include community festivals, disability inclusion programs, and leadership workshops held across continents. The report demonstrates how basketball transcends boundaries, fostering sustainable and inclusive communities.
