General Overview

TAGGAT 2026 is a national capacity‑building program launched by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, the Senegalese National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSS) and the National Centre for Popular and Sports Education (CNEPS), and coordinated by Sport Impact with the support of the French Development Agency (AFD). It aims to make a structured contribution to the professionalisation of the Senegalese sports ecosystem, in preparation for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games and within a long‑term legacy vision for sport in Senegal.

The program seeks to raise the level of expertise among sector stakeholders, disseminate high‑quality knowledge, and strengthen coordination between sports institutions, professionals, and future talents. TAGGAT 2026 is part of a broader transformation dynamic in which sport becomes a true driver of human, social, and economic development.

The training modules cover key thematic areas including:

  • Management of sports organisations
  • Coaching and technical supervision
  • Sports event organisation
  • Governance and federation management
  • Athlete safety, performance, and monitoring

The learning pathway is complemented by exchange sessions, collaborative workshops, and networking activities, enabling participants to learn from peers, share best practices, and develop solutions tailored to the local context.

By offering a coherent, progressive, and accessible training framework, TAGGAT 2026 contributes to the long‑term structuring of the sector while preparing a new generation of qualified, committed professionals capable of carrying Senegal’s sporting ambitions beyond Dakar 2026.
