In accordance with the Olympic Agenda 2020, the IOC’s strategic roadmap for the future of the Olympic Movement, the IOC awarded its first "Sport and Active Society" development grants in 2016. Every year since then, it has renewed its commitment to making communities more active and inclusive through sport by supporting projects that promote the physical and mental well-being of people of all ages.
