A study of the main players in the sports economy

The BPCE L’Observatoire study is split into four main chapters covering :

  • the French sports sector, with a general overview of the private provision of sports services across the country
  • the growth strategies, demographic dynamics and sectoral restructuring of private companies
  • the regional issues, with a geographical interpretation of the site-selection methods used by companies and associations
  • the 2024 Paris Games as an opportunity for the sports economy, with an overview of the challenges that the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games will pose to the sports sector

The report highlights the major contribution of the sports industry’s stakeholders to the French economy and shows how these players now represent a fully-fledged and fast-growing sector that is creating value.
